The Tern Bay Resort project consisted of approximately 1,778 acres of land located within Charlotte County, Florida. The project was a Development of Regional Impact (DRI) known as Tern Bay Country Club Resort (Tern Bay DRI). The Tern Bay DRI was a planned mixed-use community. The Tern Bay Resort project included approximately 1,810 single-family residences, villas, and multifamily units, a 27 hole championship golf course with a clubhouse facility, 4 wood bridges and amenities. CES performed all the onsite and off-site design, permitting and landscape architecture for this project including utilities, drainage, stormwater management facilities and roads. Charlotte Engineering & Surveying, Inc. (CES) successfully designed, permitted, tested, inspected and certified complete approximately 2.2 miles of 16” water along Burnt Store Road in Charlotte County. Of this 2.2 mile route there were a number of stream/creek crossings that totaled 700 LF of directional bore. CES also designed and permitted the four laning of approximately 2 miles roadway frontage along Burnt Store road.
