Liam Hemsworth set to take over the James Bond franchise from Daniel Craig … so says the guy who took up the torch Sean Connery.
George Lazenbybetter known as Bond after Sean, TMZ tells… Liam deserves Hollywood’s famous license to kill for a multitude of reasons.
First off, George says Liam has the acting resume worthy of the next MI-6 agent, and also has enough experience to handle all the media attention and scrutiny.
George was the youngest James Bond, at just 29, when he was chosen to replace Connery – and he believes Liam, 32, could produce Bond films for the next decade, while still retaining his youthful good looks, while as George has… if he says so himself. 😆
Of course, there’s also the Australian connection…George and Liam are both from below…and every James Bond to date has been under the British crown. Australia is a British Commonwealth nation, so George says a “handsome Aussie guy” like Liam will do.
Perhaps more importantly, George says the next Bond needs to be “crazy enough, cocky enough, confident enough, ambitious enough to take on the role”…because Craig, like Connery, is a tough act to follow.
Add it all up and George says Liam ticks all the boxes.
As we reported, names are flying as speculation mounts over who the next Bond will be, with Aaron Taylor Johnsonan English actor famous for “Bullet Train” and “Kick-Ass”, get into the mix …with the star of “Emily in Paris” Lucien Laviscount.
George has already told us the the next Bond could be a woman … he says late Lady Diana Rigg – the Bond Girl who co-starred with him in his 1969 film, ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ – was quite his equal on the big screen.
But, bond producer Barbara Broccoli now says the next 007 will be male, and George says word of the boss is going out into the Bond world.
George says he wishes good luck to whoever takes over from Daniel…whether it’s Liam or some other guy.
