While Ant-Man is best known for his diminutive stature, the latest trailer for Quantumthe next episode of multigenerational, interdimensional Ant-Man and the Wasp series, just released a new trailer showing how much bigger Scott Lang’s new enemy is than anything he’s faced before. (Metaphorically speaking.)
Seriously, the trailer is about Jonathan Majors’ Kang and how Paul Rudd’s Scott quantumly entangles himself with the villain. There’s a ton going on, including the first look at MODOK!, but watch it:
It wouldn’t be a The ant Man movie if Scott didn’t make some kind of mistake, and in Quantum, he’s clearly going to help Kang in exchange for getting back the five years he lost with his daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton) during the Blip. It’s an understandable motivation, but since Kang’s name is in the title of this next new avengers movieit’s pretty clear that he doesn’t have the best intentions—like, “conquer all spacetime” type intentions, and this trailer reveals that Kang definitely has the power, the resources, and the forces to do just that. Plus: MODOK!
While Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have been more about introductions and set-up, this official Phase 5 kickoff is poised to bring the unimaginable reach of the Quantum Realm and the Multiverse closer together. in a way that MCU heroes are not. t ready for, but that the audience is obviously clamoring for.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will also bring back Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Michelle Pfieffer as Janet Van Dyne. Directed by Peyton Reed, who directed the first two The ant Man films, the film premieres on February 17.
